What's the difference from the 2-axis and 3-axis stabilisation?
Except the tilt and roll axis, the third axis, Pan axis is also stabilised by the built-in gyro, and the most important of all, the well tuned software, makes the M3L works perfectly in stabilising videos taken and eliminating vibrations and shakiness gathered by your hands. With tilt and roll axis stabilised, it works quite awesome already, but if you pursue for a more advanced stability or need to take a more sporty video, the 2-axis stabilised gimbal might not satisfy you as well as the 3-axis.
With the Pan-axis also stabilised, the video will be even more stable when running or exercising, you can moving left and right freely and won't feel dizzy or feel like constantly shaking your head, because the pan axis movement will be stabilised and compensated, any tiny movement or shakiness will be smoothen to a satisfied level. Though it looks like just putting one motor on, it's definitely not as easy as its appearance. The key is how we tune the software, in order to make sure it levels and stabilised perfectly among all 3 axis. One axis stabilising might be nothing, two axis might just catch you attention, but three axis stabilisation is really something behind the scene.
Which one is more suitable for me? GoPro or Smartphone version?
The basic concept of the G3 and M3L is almost the same though, still tiny difference in use between these two gimbals. As GoPro is a professional camera for
outdoor sports, such as skiing or cycling, due to its lighter weight and compact design, we will suggest you to choose the G3 if you already have a GoPro and film your casual exercise quite often. G3 and GoPro combination will be a better solution for outdoor sport, the lightweight of GoPro makes the gimbal work better in response and perform more constantly under the rapid movement environment of sporty activities.
